AN outlaw bikie caught with ammunition in his car while he was on parole for voilence has been fined $800.
Bandidos Motorcyle Club member Duncan Lee Rattenbury, 24, pleaded guilty in the Brisbane Magistrates Court to possessing 48 rounds of 9mm ammunition at Loganlea on November 20.
The court was told the bullets were found during a police raid on the southern Brisbane outskirts property during which officers took possession of a number of "Bandidos' club colours.''
Rattenbury was arrested at the same time and place as that of Bandidos national Sergeant-at-Arms Christopher "Chubbs'' Barrett last week dubbed Mr Untouchable after beating a minor drugs charge.
The Courier-Mail on Friday revealed the hulking senior bikie was found to have no case to answer after appearing before Magistrate Bronwyn Springer _ who ordered police pay Barrett's legal coses.
It was Barrett's second legal win this year, after charges levelled at him by police from Taskforce Hydra were dropped in March.
He had been charged with grievous bodily harm at Loganlea as part of Operation Kilo Subdue in October.
Queensland's Chief Magistrate Brendan Butler, QC, was today told Rattenbury was arrested as part of the same operation.
Solicitor Andrew McGinness, for Rattenbury, said his client was charged with other offences, but that police were only proceeding on the minor weapons offence.
Rattenbury, unemployed, pleaded guilty to one count of unauthorised possession of explosives.
Prosecutor Peter Treloar told the court police found 48 bullets, which could be fired from a Glock handgun, were found under the front seat of Rattenbury's red Ford Falcon sedan.
Sergeant Treloar said Rattenbury was at the end of serving out parole for an assault at the time of his arrest.
Mr McGinness said while his client admitted possessing the ammunition, police did not find any handgun during the search.
Judge Butler, in issuing Rattenbury with a fine, said: "It's obvious enough what the concern might be (in your possessing bullets).''
"Ammunition useable in concealed firearms is a concern to the community.''
