A man who told authorities he is addicted to methamphetamine was arrested Tuesday afternoon in central Fresno on charges that included possessing firearms with serial numbers removed.
Fresno police Sgt. Paul Cervantes of the MAGEC anti-gang unit said officers received a tip that Joseph Munoz, 53, was a heavy drug user with weapons. Officers went to the 200 block of North Yosemite Avenue about 2:20 p.m., where they contacted Munoz.
Munoz, a member of Los Dorados motorcycle club, told officers he has been a meth addict for about 35 years. Cervantes said officers recovered several weapons, some registered to Munoz and some with serial numbers removed.
Munoz was booked on firearms and weapons charges.
