RCMP have confirmed there are an increased number of officers in the area to maintain public safety with the presence of 1% outlaw motorcycle gang members.
This is the riding season and RCMP met with media last week to outline some of the things to watch for.
RCMP Sergeant Steve Conohan told reporters last week that despite attempts to present themselves as good community citizens, outlaw motorcycle gang members are known for their intimidation tactics and their association with criminal activity.
RCMP and RNC remind the public that outlaw motorcycle gangs should not be confused with law-abiding motorcycle riding clubs that operate in the province.
